GET Attends NEXUS Innovation & Entrepreneurship Ceremony, Supports Nanjing-Melbourne Partnership
Green Eco Technologies recently had the honour of participating in the 2025 NEXUS Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition Award Ceremony held in the Pukou High-Tech Zone. The event marked a significant moment in the growing partnership between the cities of Nanjing and Melbourne.
Attended by distinguished guests including the Mayor of the City of Melbourne, Nicholas Reece, and Wang Guoping, Deputy Secretary of the Pukou District Committee and District Mayor, the ceremony brought together leading entrepreneurs, investors, and academic experts from both China and Australia.
Mayor Reece highlighted the importance of cross-border cooperation in innovation, noting that the NEXUS competition and the launch of a new Center of Excellence will serve as powerful platforms for knowledge sharing and global collaboration, which strongly aligns with Green Eco Technologies mission and our international growth.
The theme for this year’s competition was “Creating the Future, Integrating the Digital and Intelligent City” and attracted 52 high-caliber projects from Australia. Green Eco Technologies, awarded 1st Prize in the 2023 competition, was delighted to be invited back to participate in the 2025 Awards presentation and Memorandum of Understanding signing ceremony, represented by Abraham Lim, GET Commercial Director for Asia. This continued engagement reflects our commitment to driving sustainable, commercially viable solutions with real world impact.
The ceremony also featured two major announcements: the launch of the Nanjing-Melbourne City Excellence Center and the unveiling of the Nanjing (Melbourne) Science and Technology Cooperation Innovation Park. These initiatives are designed to fast track cross border partnerships and establish a world-class environment for innovation and commercialisation.
As an innovation-driven company, Green Eco Technologies is proud to contribute to this critical partnership between Melbourne and Nanjing, and through initiatives such as NEXUS we are able to work together collectively to shape a more innovative and sustainable future.
